Do you have any idea how much money you could make simply demon face-warping home footage of spouses for divorce hearings? "Your honor, I swear she's a demon! Watch this video!"
by Mark Solomon 02/17/2010
Dear Andrew, I love all the training stuff u have up here, but i was trying to download the Demon Face Warp tutorials to my laptop but is not available.

A great quality of tutorial. The visual quality is good, audio quality is clear enough and the instructions given is simple enough as a broken english speaker like me can understand it easily.
by Max Alan Zoller 02/02/2010
Hello everyone great tutorial! For those who have had problems with the uncheckable "leave all attribute" the problem has to do with some translated versions (like italian). Install in english and enjoy!

by Giorgi Nikolaishvili 02/01/2010

Hello, one question - why you didn't it by "track motion"??? - to make tracking points and assign to null object and then you can assign anything (deformation, skin, glasses, ...) to the null object(?) Is it possible??? I think it is much more easyer, then to make this points by "stabilize motion" and reverse it back... ? Isn't it? I don't speak english wery well, so I am not shure if you speak about this possibility somewhere in your tutorial ... ? Thank you for your reply :)

These tutorials have allowed me to expand my offering as an offline FCP editor for indies, to a full fledged FX editor combined. Andrew, and the videopilot team, you rock! These videos are the BEST training on the web. Keep them coming!
by Peano! 01/11/2010
I completely agree with you there Nate Dogg.
by nate dogg 01/06/2010
Now I gotta admit, after I got After Effects this was the first place I found on the internet for help. Andrew, my man....you are the Video Messiah.
I have taken many of these tuts and they were all very helpful. This one was so much fun for me and some of my friends which I had invited over in order to "demonize" them. I have even called friends which have moved away, and those whom live abroad and had them send me video so I could "demonize" them or whatnot.
Basically, Andy..it's like this: Thank you from all of us. Your sense of humor is on par the first time around, but after watching the same tutorial 3-4 times..it just gets better.
Like the others before me, I am also a man, but still I love you. Keep the tuts comming!

by Patrick 11/01/2009
Hi I'm trying to get this to work, and I really want it to work, cause i imagine I can use it for a thousand different projects...

My problem is "I think" the object that needs to be tracked. I have an elevator door, where I stand in the elevator and the doors will slide open to the right. I want to put a logo on the door, so it will slide to the right as well.. Also a second thing is I need a mask or something, cause the doors slide into the wall, thereby dissappearing...

I have done all the things the tutorial says, but the trackpoints are getting no good result. No Eyes in my footage or something, so will this even work with a shine elevator door? I have a scratch where I put my trackpoints, but it doesn't stick well... :(

by Saskia 10/17/2009
Dear Andrew,

First of all, thanks for being so clear on this topic; this really helps to understand the basics of the Tracking options.
I'm working on something similar as your example with the sunglasses, everything works exactly according to your tutorial.
Except…mine includes scale tracking as well... And...I've tried everything but that part won't work at all.
The problem: My footage stays zoomed in there where it should zoom out again. So instead of counting down from 100%, it adds up from there. Ok, this is how it supposed to be in the PreComp, but not in the final version.
This should be easy to fix I know, but so far no luck. I’ve tried to apply the comment *-1, like you did with the rotation expression, but you've guessed already...no luck there. The comment *100 -1 results in an error, off course...
Can you help me; make me see what I don’t see jet? I don’t think I need to manually fix every frame again to resize it, now do I?

Best regards,
Saskia

Awesome tutorial this stabilizing/destabilizing is amazing! I had a question though. Is there a way to make it work for scaling? I tried adding the "*-1" to the end of the scale pick whip and the whole video was screwed up. Deleting the scale from each was the only way to get the normal results you have. If there is so way around making scale work that would be great. Thanks

"I can't uncheck "leave all attributes" in precompose window even after I check the other option. Help me please, this is the only thing I'm missing to make this work."

Same here, Somebody know what would be the reason, is it a Bug or a Program Feature?
by Noah 09/12/2009
Hey great tutorial, but how do you do it in CS4, I recently got it and things like alt click don't bring up the parenting tools! Or maybe it's cos I have a mac, but could you please update it for CS4?

not the best but hopefully not the worst one...

by ferhat 07/20/2009
My small brain did not understand that: Why reverse stabilizing? Why not just regular motion tracking, applaying data to null object and parenting the adjustment layer which we applied liquify? Why why why? I know you have an excellent reason.
