Hey Andrew, how do you get the cc sphere effect?

This tutorial and effect, hands down without question, was just used in a Discovery Channel special entitled, "The Sun". It was just a program talking about the sun and it's affects on earth and they had shown a dieing earth model and everything from the position of the sun to the planet and where the orange yellow glows took place was exact to this tutorial. Hats off again Andrew to saving the world one amazing effect at a time! Just had to tell ya. Wish I could find a video....

For everyone having trouble with CS4, highlight the new "map" layer before dragging "lava map" onto it.

Oh damn! Too bad you didn't get into the advanced compositing! Seriously, if the effects artist job should some day fail. You should go stand-up comedy!

I lIke this soo mach i found this site today from a video on youtube and t he amzing thing is that all of the tutroials you can do For no money (sorry for my bad enlgish but i think you understand)

Same as JimK, saw the shot in the Discovery show 'the sun' and it was immediately "Ah! Andrew Kramer!" whilst pointing at the tv like a moron. :) I had to get back on here and check to make sure and it's pretty much exactly the shot from this tutorial.

This is a great tutorial, but I'm having probs, am using CS4 so have to keep looking for the stuff I need (cursed by the drop down menus)!

I create the planet no problem and the light, but when it comes to the lava layers, the map is in sphere and not flat as it should be, what have I missed?

I have AAE CS4 and when u say that i should drag the "lava map" to the "map" holding the "Alt" button it takes the place, but in my CS4 it dosen't work, so how do i do it in CS4?? please answer!

mine comes out (rendered) with a green cross bang in the middle. how do i get rid of it?

Hello andrew, i have a problen with effect cc sphere. i type cc sph and i get 2 diffrent effect but no perspective cc sphere and the other spheres get error it say its missing effect. what shall i do?

Great tutorial Andrew! Although I get one really strange problem... When I link the Y rotation to the Lava Map the Lava rotates in another direction than the other layers. Anyone that can help me?

well mohbaitar . Tutorials like these assume you have basic knowledge of Windows , and After Effects . So of course he's going at a decent speed and that is why they make player controls so you can go back and forth in case you don't understand quick enough . He's working with there own web space as well so you can't expect hours of just one tutorial to explain every little thing he does .

Honest opinion: You go way too fast in your tutorials. You don't explain why your doing what your doing. You just say click that duplicate that move that on top that alpha that...its really confusing. If we were to want to create our own video using this effect, it wouldn't be that easy. We could probably replicate your video by pausing the video every 5 seconds and switching to the AE program to do what you just did, but what were learning is very hard to apply to our individual projects as not every step is not explained in detail. Dont get me wrong your tutorials are amazing. Maybe you should just do a separate video on special tricks and basic tricks, such as shading, mattes, transfer modes, all that good stuff, and focus on that. Ive already watched your basic training, but im talking about more in depth of all the tricks you use, without using effects. Thanks for the good tutorials, just elaborate more.

ok i have a trial of after effects o got from adobe and it dosent have CC sphere and i dont have a disk.... so where can i download all these CC effects????
