Will you please do an advanced version of this to where it's like in a movie, where, it's day and the truck is driving toward the camera. But while it's driving, the day actually slowly turns to night and the lights come on at the same time?
Also, maybe, the reverse of it, where, night actually turns to day and all lights goes out. Thanks.

I'm using CS6, and when I try 15:20 onwards, nothing happens when I begin to adjust the curve on the adjustment layer. Any ideas?

I doubt it because at night, most objects become greyscale and lose a lot of saturation. To get back the natural colour would be very difficult and adding non-parallel light (anything besides sunlight like spotlights etc.) is much easier than subtracting their effect so streetlight lighting correction would be difficult.
That being said, if anyone can do it, Andrew can!

Impressive Andrew! You have mad skills, I just wished I could SEE the colors like you do. I have a hard time visualizing what a shot should look like color wise. I can lay out a movie script in my head in 10 min it seems, but have trouble coloring a shot. Anyway very nice tutorial and you are the best!

Man! I have to say this is an AWESOME tutorial.
Very enlightening on a number of levels on how to use effects certain effects in general.
But, on the specifics of how to create a night shot from day, I have to say I was totally surprised and pleased to find such a clear and detailed explanation of how to do this.

hi....u really rock dood..i am been watching your video training for few weeks its really awsome man..i am kinda new in after effcts so i am facing some problems you know. some tutorials are really advance but it motivates me to learn more..rite now i am working with soul remover and final image tuts. in final image video when u used null object to hold partices so it was moving from one direction but mine is not holdin and my particles are moving from both directions start and ending....God bless ya Andrew...i am from Pakistan..

Very good tutorial. I've read a bit on DNC (that's dirty!) and your tutorial really did a much better job teaching it than anything I've ever seen.
I also LOVED the tip about the proper way to roto. I've spent countless hours on wiggling masks to cover things like that elbow that pops into the screen. Good work.

What can I say? Even a novice like me got edged. Your tutorials are not only inspiring, but life in people who don't even have interest in effect. You make the whole things simple. Are they really? Well, I guess the world is made complicated because of complexity. But now with Andrew, the world of FX is made simple because of his simplicity.

These are the most intriguing and hilarious tutorials!! IT's wonderful art! How about more on depth of field? Or am curious as to how to get a realistic ground, though with 2.5D I think it's not easy!!
