I'm trying to scatter my logo but its not do anything.
Did anyone else run into that problem?
-Please reply to my email; Luupelo@gmail.com
say i have a logo,which i wana extrude with element :
when i do that it removes all its texture(colour and all( just like a concrete block!!!
what shoud i do to get back those colours and textures.
and to say : i did dragged my logo.png to the diffuce option and it became UGLY
Somebody :)
is there a way to keyframe "extrude"?
so that i.e. texts "grow" from flat to extrude?
thanx in advance and keep going with the great work:)
Denkoo - You need to be creating 16 bit comps or larger and you have to have a good graphics card, not great, but good and a recent intel machine to really have this plug in work.
Ettiene Rodriguez - It produces amazing result, but just remember, the depth of field Field, starts at the default camera postion, if you are dolly'd in tight on your object, the depth of field will be super shallow and hard to manage, just be patient and make small moves on the aperture and focus distance.
MJ(_M_)Batman - Check your channels within the scene set up, each object needs its own place, also make sure separate objects is checked under each element object in the scene setup.
Glinson AJ - See the 8 bit to 16 bit issue above.
If anyone else has answers to help our fellow AE users, always post them and share. For those who want to view my channel on YouTube, here is the video I made using the tutorial, no moving objects, just depth of field, small cuts, lens flares and multi beveled objects.

Thanks!
I'm at minute 12 when you create the light- but when i move the "Point of Interest" my lighting doesn't change. If i move it's "Position" it changes, but I'm curious why my "Point of Interest" would be unresponsive? Anybody know why this may be happening?
Ruben
Had to stuggle 2 long hours to figure it out though!..
you are a wonderful man
Thanks
Thank you
I felt like i'm in star wars or star trek or sth.
Nice work maaaaaaaaan
Best line ever...."one other thing you can do, if you like buying video copilot plugins"...
Could you please do a tut showing objects moving around live footage, it's where I have always found it hard. Animating a object from Blender and bringing it into AE, this plug in could be the answer but a tut would be great. Cheers AK.
Where did you get the sound effects from?
(tutorials)
My head just blew up with a fat, sploshing sound...
Spent the last hour checking out the promos for Element trying to make the figures for the plugin and packs to match my budget ... and didn't really understand what the support for jpeg actually implied...
And now you show me this! Created from a pixel based jpeg, Element and some shaders ... now THAT puts a whole new dimension to Elements !!!
Absolutely mindblowing awsome - noting short of it. Your on. Element is a definite buy. Already got the full pack of Optical Flares and my mind is running super hot over that combo.
The part of my brain that isn't scattered around the floor, that is .. :)
Sorry - have some cleaning up to do here ..
I am a 16 year old guy, interested in motion graphics, watching your tutorials for more than a year. However, I have a really slow pc, so I had to stop it, I can't make graphics at the moment, and I can't try out this new plugin. I do not want anybody to feel sorry or to say "oh, poor me" or anything like that, I am cool with my life and stuff.:D
What I want to say is even if I can't make, I watch all your tutorials, just for the feeling, because this half hour of sitting quietly with my mouth wide open and smiling (yeah, I know, it's kind of creepy, like Joker or something:D) is worthless!:) In almost every minute there is a voice shouting in my head: "Oh my god oh my god how did you do that?! & That looks soooo amazing, unbelievable" and things like that.
I honestly do not exaggerate when I say watching this is like watching an amazing movie for the first time (like Shawshank Redemption, one of my favourite, to get the point) for me.
Thank you for making me forget all my things for a while (even though my parents aren't so happy about it!:D) and thank you for being so inspirational, creative and kind enough to share all this talent with us!
Keep up the good work, Andrew!
Cheers from Hungary;)
I like you sooo much and you are my role model.
how can i contact you personally? please reply
I am trying to do an effect were someone falls off a cliff. There are alot of tutorials on youtube on how to do this but none are realistic.Could you make a tutorial on how to do this?
thanks,
Philip
P.S. I kinda want it to look like saruman's death.
I have to kiss you.
Quick question. I followed this using just a simple self generated mask from a solid. I noticed that when I play with the bevel settings, they only effect the front side. Is there a way to have the rear look the same so when I do the animation, it looks nice?
Thanks,
Eric

Just interested where you source it from? Are some of these clips from your SFX pack?
Cheers!
Here is a quick (5 minute) example:

Great Job!!!
Just a little side note, I've noticed your tutorials have gotten a progressively wider aspect ratio over the years. Thanks for that!
LOVE IT!
;) ;) ;)
it really looks great.
i was wondering if there is a chance to control the Bump of the shader inside the plug-in? Also is there a way to create a complete new shader (material cause i'm a cinema4d user) from scratch?
thanks
Cheers,
Allan
Imma buy this powerful plug-in very soon!
Since I left a couple messages on this same subject, the answer is an absolute yes. I think I figured it out. As the earlier gentlemen mentioned, using a null but it's even simpler I think. If you have CS6 with the new tracker, just tracker your scene, select you points and create a null and camera, then plop your 3D object in (or turn the eye on) and it tracks nicely. I seems to acknowledge the active camera generated by the tracker. One point that I am still verifying is I believe you click the Element layer to 3D before hand. Seemed to work for me. I know this is no great cinema scene, but here's a test I put together to try out Element: https://www.dropbox.com/s/rvcgi6w7qkb2pks/coke%20test.mp4
It's a bit of a limitation.
Take 3DMax for example. Autodesk teach you every little aspect of the program with lots of detailed, picture referenced, project-oriented documentation.
All of the above doesn't contradict the fact that this is the most advanced, and coolest Plugin I have ever used (using it in my studio already, great results!)
But please, Andrew, address this situation where we need to "struggle" to finds our hands inside this Deep Reaching Plugin.
Thirsty for much more Tutorials.
Like someone said, I would have bought it myself if it came with a descent amount of project-oriented videos / a long and comprehensive PDF guide.
Would be great to hear from you about it.
Love everything about your site, from the tutorials, to the plugins, to the jokes and of course the inspiration you give us.
Cheers,
Andy Price
But i just got one question... Is the helicopter in one of these packs? Or will you release a vehicle pack soon?
Keep your work up Andrew!
Joachim
I tend to view on an iPad and this latest file doesn't want to play on iPad or iPhone. The jungle videos did though. Not sure if there's a difference in encoding or some flash used etc?
Any chance you can make future files iOS compatible?
Many thanks :)
i have special request i hope you make tutorial
how i export c4d model with texture to element 3d
because i did try it its not work good with me
I would love to see a tutorial on how you built that sound track. I have ProScores, and Sound FX, but I don;t think those sounds are in there.
Awesome sound to this logo, BTW.
