from mexico!! dont get it !! i dont understand why you freez the duplicate of the original clip in one frame!!! and why you have to track the clip!!! i dont understand what is the real function of that tool in some tutorials i hope someone can explain whit words some of the functions because i try to make the tutorial whit out those steps and i didnt get the result!! andrew you are the master in AE AWESOME

He makes a frozen duplicate of the original where you see the sky so that when you mask off the guy's head you will see the sky naturally there, think if you didn't have it and you cut off the head from the picture, you would just have a hole in your image. The tracking is used to make it appear as if the effects he is adding to the shot were there when he took it, it makes the fog and other effect move and respond to the camera and the whole thing looks more convincing, otherwise it will stick out that you are just pasting stuff on a video that was already shot before. I hope that helps to clarify.

OH my God R u for real , this is digusting footage. Obviously u have never been personally affected by suicide or u would of never came up with this rubbish. I cannot beleive u talk so camly about each stap u take in the video knowing tnat real people are reminded of this day by day

Hey Andrew and gang.. I just spent all night working on this video (my first ever head shot) and went to bed at 5:30 AM - I just couldn't stop lol!! I made the work a lot harder for myself because the gun was held in front of the face!

hey hii. andrew did everything in your tutorial step by step but the head disapearing is not working for me. All I get is an outline that is transparent around the head instead of the entire head being transparent with the background. Please Help!

hi, i've got a problem with this tutorial, i'm using AE cs4 but when I try to move the time bar of the duplicated layer, the bracket doesn't appear, at first when I duplicate the layer it's ok but when a I add the time remaping the brackets desapears. And there aren't brackets neither in the nul object layer... any idea???

Hey can somone please help me!, i have after effects 7.0 and cs4 and when i try to inport the blood splatter clip from Action Movie essentials it comes up with this messege (Error. After Effects error: File "Blood_Birst_06.mov" is not a valid file type for inport.) Do u know whats going on here? How can i fix this?
