Besides the fact that this was posted on June 13, 2005... the windows enhanced theme settings were possibly shut off/set to "classic" for better performance using after effects/running the screen capturing software.

Very easy to follow guides you've got here. Thanks alot for this, you got me into AE (after I have been using vegas pro 9 for a while), AE was very hard to understand before I watched yours vids because the interface was so diffrent. Now it all makes sense though and seems so easy :)

hey man! thats great! that version of affter effects is SO old! I got the new one. It's funny, because I think that windows ME was acctually running quite fast, but it had shitty internet. FLIPPIN` AOL! I hate that AOL when it started up. "welcome- to AOL." and you had to sign in to the internet to be able to browse. and google wasn't even known very much back then so you had no way of browsing the internet! its soooo frustrating! but now we have XP, Vista, and windows 7. so its okay :D

great tutorial - fast and to the point - really helped me out - if you know the concepts of key framing from your NLE but just don't have experience of the AE interface, you can get up and running with this basic tutorial right away. It helped me a lot.
