hmm. is anyone else having trouble watching this one? All the other tutorials seem to be working alright, but for me this one wont play past ten seconds...

Great work Andrew. I did a 3 day shoot where we had to replace the sky in almost every shot. I did something very similar to the gradient background you showed in this tutorial. I added a layer with fractal noise to create clouds. This added to the realism and texture to the sky. And I could use the controls of the FN to match pans and tilts which would be hard to do with a flat image.

If you do not have the "mode, T or TrckMat" in your time time look at the bottom of your screen to the right of "Expand or collapse layer..." and you will see "Toggle Switches / Modes".

In the future, could you please consider doing a tutorial on a sky replacement where the camera is panning about 180 degrees across a landscape (way to the left or right), and you have to attach a long new section to the sky / then blend the edge / as the pan continues?

My video doesn't have a very bright background and there are some clouds visible making it impossible for me to make the matte. Can anyone help me out how i can fix this?

Just out of curiosity... I tried rendering out the final video but it didn't render out.. does this have anything to do about the little mark next to the .mov file? Am I not supposed to be able to render it out?

First off andrew awsome tutorials!!!Can oyu do a tutorial where you can explain how to put a 3d animation in behind live action footage...Like in transformers movie when optimus transforms and walks towards the kids...How did they composite optimus prime in front of the people!! I try to do it by drawing a mask around the people but it too hard and too long to move the mask to try to follow the motion of the live action people!! If you could could you do a tutorial of something like this!!!
