The answer is probably very simple guys!
I had the same problem of the preset ,but i fixed it!
It was because my after effects is in german ,so all the effects are in german ,too , but the preset needs the english sliders!
So what you have to change:
This the expression from the preset:

Radius = effect("Radius")("Slider//HERE NEEDS TO BE CHANGED INTO YOUR LANGUAGE!");
Speed = effect("Speed")("Slider//HERE NEEDS TO BE CHANGED INTO YOUR LANGUAGE!");
RotationOffset = effect("Rotation Offset")("Angle//HERE NEEDS TO BE CHANGED INTO YOUR LANGUAGE!");

center = [this_comp.width/2,this_comp.height/2,0];
radius = 200;
angle = time * Speed + RotationOffset;
x = Radius * Math.cos(degreesToRadians(angle));
z = Radius * Math.sin(degreesToRadians(angle));
add(center, [x,0,z]);

my expression now would look like this:

About changing the language in the presets. I have tried to change the code as suggested by some friends here, but I get an error "unexpected file end error (-39). I used TexEdit to edit the file. Should I use another application? Thanks for yours help

hello ... I have been following your tutorials ... and thanks. I afters efects CS3 installed, but in your third tutorial "keying and transparency" I can not find that option ... not find it on my software installed. I wonder if you can help in that regard?

Im trying to use the preset, but when I open the project file and click on 3d Orbit, it trys to open it in After Effects CS3 but I just want to download it please help.

I also forgot to add when I click on the 3d orbit link, it says " After Effects error:Can't import file "3D Orbit.ffx": unsupported filetype or extension.

Hi Andy ... you've come out with some really cool lookin' tutorials. Just one request. Could you maybe provide links to any and all the tutorials for download (offline viewing)? I'm from India and we don't exactly have fast net connections down here. I'm goin' blind straining my eyes while I'm waiting for the tuts to load. :)

Hi Guys!

To Everybody who has the Error after trying to active the Orbit Preset for the Null Object.

Thats because your Version thats currently running is not the english version. It has to be the english version because else the expressions are different and the preset cannot be activated.
