Aux channel animation stops after 6 to 10 seconds?

Postby EditCat on 01/27/2015, 5:26 pm

I am having trouble with Element 3d V2, and at this point I don't know if it is something I am doing or maybe a bad install on my computer.

The Aux channel will only animate for no more than 6 to 10 seconds (I am trying to do a start up sequence of the C 130 engines). I have tried key frames and expression time*-1000 (negative is so the prop spins in the correct direction). I prefer key frames because I want to have the prop start slow and build up to speed.

Thank you in advance.

I think this is an old issue/limitation of the rotation property. If I remember it correctly you have to put a %360 after your expression. So if you like to use keyframes you insert "value%360" as an expression or you could use "(time*1000)%360"
If you want to have control over the time variable you might swap the 1000 with a slider value and animate the slider instead of the propeller.

Also you don't need to use negative values since you can set your aux channel to -100%
