JetStrike: How I can rig and import my own aircraft?

Postby waheedakhtar on 06/12/2014, 10:43 pm

Hi,
I am working on a shortfilm which requires me to animate 2 aircraft from mid 40's. I am wondering how I can rig my own aircraft models and import them in JetStrike as fully rigged and textured models accessing the full power for JS?

Waheed

Hey Waheed!

Currently rigging your own models like Jetstrike is not possible, as it is done at the code level. If you search the Element forum there are some more threads that go into that.

As far as textures, look into UV mapping if you are not familiar with it, and as far as exporting objects to Element this page with the video there should help get an idea of the workflow:

Hi Duston,
Thanks a lot for the reply. I am reading it today after few months... I somehow managed to figure out what you have mentioned here earlier. Again, thanks a lot for the reply.
