FREE Simple Camera Rig Script

I got tired of manually creating a camera rig every time I wanted to use on so I wrote this simple script. The script:

1. Creates a new single node Camera
2. Creates a controlling null
3. Adds 3 sliders called X Position, Y Position, and Z Position
4. Adds 3 Angle Controls called X Rotation, Y Rotation, and Z Rotation
5: Creates all of the needed expressions to link the camera to the Camera Control

To use it, Copy the script file into your user scripts directory (if you want to find it in your presets) or anywhere if you want to run it with File->Scripts->Run Script. Make the active object the composition (click on the composition tab and make sure nothing is selected). Then run the script.

It probably goes without saying, but you need to key frame the camera controls to make this useful.

The script basically creates the rig in Andrew Davis' Camera control tutorials on creative cow.

That's it.

I try to use the CameraRig Script in AE 2014.2 on mac OS X 10.10.3 and get a error message like this:

Hope you can fix it :)

I can duplicate the error when I don't have an empty comp selected. Make sure you create a new composition and click on the composition tab so it is highlighted, then run the script.
