Postby Ditoni on 07/17/2012, 3:42 am

Hi,
I'm not expert on 3d modeling.
I try to make a logo with extrusion on a illustrator file and then apply the material but when i import it on Element it render only the extrusion.
Can anyone help me please?

I think, i can))
Use fillet caps. Then just switch "Type" from N-gons to Triangles (triangles are recommended). Plus U can add more geometry with Regular grid.
And then make extrusion editable (hit "C" key).
This should work ;)

Don't work for me. Tried a lot of things there, but without success.

Used a MoText. Just with fillet caps. No curves. Triangle. Made them editable. Associated UVW-Tags and Texture. Also tried to associate both to each single hm.... subitem.

Actually I have the choice of not texturing the caps, just filled with a ProShader-Color, or to texture any single triangle. Look at this screen.

Probably the problem is sitting in front of the computer, but I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
The Melange-Option has been set, by the way.

Even watched the latest Mat-Tutorials of Andrew and this here (posted within this forum)

But I still can't figure it out. Some simple thing I just don't see >-||
