Per group polygon mode options?

Postby candymanjl on 07/11/2012, 6:50 pm

I'm playing around with a really simple title with some abstract shapes around it. I switched to the wireframe mode and I love how the abstract shape looks but I didn't want to do that to my title. Is there a way to have one group output in a different mode than another?

I tried to create two instances of Element in the same comp. One with the shape put into wireframe mode and the other with the title in normal mode. Now my title isn't "inside" the abstract shape anymore so that didn't really work.

Any ideas for a workaround? Thanks!

Nope, the render setting is clobal. If you have access to a 3D program (which, given that Blender is free, everyone has of course), you can model the wireframes with a simple inset bevel applied to each polygon and then deleting the "caps".

Oh well, maybe a future release will have this :)

For now I'll play with Blender and see what I get, thanks!
