Only the nearest eletric poles to be visible

Postby nandoki on 05/2/2020, 7:45 am

Hi!

The task is to create an animation where we fly over a railway track, the approaching electric poles are marked with squares, but only the two closest square to the camera can always be seen when they are within about 30 meters.
In Scene Setup, I created an electric pole and a square in a separate groups, and then multiplied them using Particle Replicator. Do you have any ideas on how to do this so that only the two nearest squares to camera to be visible while moving?

Thanks for help!

I don't know what exactly you mean. In this screenshot every thing is Ok and far objects still is visible to camera. However for far visibility try using increase camera cut off far vanish in render setting. Also for better showing distance try using fog as a z-depth in fog menu .

Hi Ali Farahani!

Yes!!!
Fog was the solution.
Here is the final result:

My Fog settings:
Fog Color: Black
Fog Opacity: 100%
Fog Start Distance: -1600
Fog Range: 3000
Fog Falloff Type: Exponential

I gave a wrong name to the post: Only the nearest SQUARES to be visible

Thank You, Ali!
You helped me a lot!
