Metropolitan pack problems

Postby ChadsWest on 10/5/2019, 7:30 am

Does anyone know how I can use the metropolitan pack to create a city then a separate layer which is actually a video and have the layer pass through the city and interact with the buildings, shading ones it passes?

The end goal is to make it look as though a energy wave is passing though the city and I’m struggling trying to get the layers to work. I have the city built and am pulling my hair out trying to get the energy layer to pass along the buildings.

Than his in advance for any tips!!!

Just make a plane within element and use your video as a custom texture. Done.

I tried to load a MP4 onto a plane but it won’t accept the video. Is there another format that will work?

I imagine you're doing it incorrectly. Set the mp4 as a custom texture (this is done out side the element Seco dary window) then, within the element interface (secondary window) select that custom texture (1,2,3 wherever you placed it) and Bob's your uncle
