Ordered Sequence Animation -Aux Channel

Postby Creation3 on 06/6/2019, 8:55 am

Hope im posting in the good Channel.

Im making a 3D animation of ordered falling stones for making a 3 stages wall
I want to make the stones fall one by one in order in a L shape

Ive used the method with Aux Channel 1-10
Thats 75 Stones to move with Aux Channel.

So Each layer have 3 groups using aux channel
--Group 1 and 2 using Aux channel 1 to 10
--Group 3 Aux Channel 1 to 5

Im transforming the y position and opacity on each aux channels
so it is falling from mid air kind of

Is there a faster way to make it ?
I mean i tried "animation engines" buts I cannot fades every stones with an Opacity transform key separatly
And I cant copy the entire Aux Channel 1 through 10 and paste in the new group, that would be so easy.
Thank you

Animation engine is definitely suitable for this. "Shape order" could work, but it really depends on how you've generated the bricks. If you want to fade them in as they fall to place, setting them to transparent in the beginning and visible in the end might work, haven't tried it. But at least the animation should work just fine. If the transparency doesn't, you can use a gradient ramp as a track matte to make the stones fade in moving from top to bottom.
