I'm looking to try to get better at Element 3D and AE. So, I'm looking for some more advanced tutorials. A tutorial that would help me make something more like this:

Can something like that be done with just AE and Element? Or would I need other plugins or software?

You could but wow, what a pain in the ass it would be. A matter of animating object sizes, rotation and position.

Is that supposed to be helpful? Because it wasn't.

1. I told you it could be created with Element but would be difficult.
2. I told you it was a matter of animating several parameters and I listed them.

What else do you want, someone to make it for you?

You didn't even offer any advice, I at least stated how to accomplish it. So go scrape another barrel.

and your vague reply offered no help at all as seen in his reply to you,
if you dont want to give a detailed breakdown on how to do it. then why reply?
your not impressing anyone with your replies.

Wow. I really don't know how to gain any semplance of impressing anyone by posting on a forum.

And your no reply helps how?

Let me know if the following holds up to your high standards

Rotate the object along difference axis.
Alter the anchor point if required.
Cascade the animation across multiple groups and stack elements of e3d on top of one another. Oh, and there's some scaling too. That would be under the scale functionality of element in case you're unaware.

These are the basics which are all basic functions of element explained by numerous VCP tutorials and if you need more, go to aescripts and purchase the plug in that mimics c4d mograph functionality.

Now, should I physically create a template to placate you or do you think some onus falls on the user to learn, fail and succeed on their own?

Download the video, watch it frame by frame and if you know the basics of element you can get it done, so really what else is required of someone attempting to explain how difficult it would be and provide the basics that the OP asked for?

Would you prefer no guidance at all and simply leave these forums bereft of all discussion?

This.,,Is not that hard to make with element 3d...Sorry I dont get on this dead forum too often...Draw several masks on a layer..make sure the masks do not overlap..actually there must be a small space between them..now extrude this in element 3d make it groups 1 and 2...now use the animation engine

I’m sorry, I should have clarified. My original post asked if anyone knew of any tutorials. And when I said tutorial, I meant like a video demonstrating a technique used to accomplish something similar to the sample video I posted. Not a few sentences a la Creativecow.net a la 2005. Not that a few sentences aren’t at all helpful (they can be). But just not what I was hoping to see. I’ll just do a harder search on YouTube. No doubt there are tutorials that might give me ideas.
