Airplane Crash tips/ directions?

Hi,

need some tips or directions on how you normally approach a VFX shot where a plane is crashing down. Some problems im thinking of are the deformation of the plane, the tearing of the metal, particles need to spawn when the geo touches the ground, the ground needs to deform. The ground is made of sand so how would you approach this sand issue because it needs to blend with live action plate?

lots of questions in mind.
