[SOLVED] Help me identify an effect please

Postby Haken on 04/17/2009, 9:52 pm

Hey there,
sorry that I have to introduce myself with a question but after hours of google'ing it's getting late and I want to go to bed. Been following VCP for a while now but never got around to registering.

Enough rambling, could a kind soul tell me how the "floating images" around 1:18-1:24 in this video can be re-produced? Anyone got a tutorial handy maybe? I realise it's 2 different effects and the first one looks like dancing cards but the second left me clueless; unfortunately that's the sort of thing I'm looking to do..
Any and all help on that would be apreciated- and I'm sorry if that's an easy one, kinda new to this. :oops:

Cheers

Hi Haken, welcome. Well you certainly asked on the right forum as whoever made the clip is obviously a fan of Video Copilot and has used it well. Have a look at
http://www.videocopilot.net/blog/2008/0 ... r-effects/
and you can download the project.

First off, thanks alot for the quick response and the welcome;
I'm a bit disturbed by the fact that I did not find this myself, thought I had seen most of the content on site and blog. :P
Asked here cuz I recognized the fracture design etc, hehe.

Anyway, ty again.
