Question for a total newbie

Postby ArtoAllan on 08/23/2016, 12:19 am

Hey guys.

a friend of mine showed me a video which I found very interesting. Normally I've been buying videos like these whenever needed. But now i want to learn how to make them on my own for future projects.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDzDVhH0V3k

At 2:30 the resources starting to "roll" up.
How is this possible to do? I am assuming its with Adobe After effects, maybe with some masks? But that would take days just to mask this, right?

After browsing the forum with no luck, I am now looking for omeone who can teach/inform me how a video "proof" like this is made :)

best regards,
ArtoAllan

So, I figured something out.
But everytime it goes from 99 -> 100 and from 999 -> 1000 it adds the extra number behind.
So it kinda pushes the text/counter backwards.

Is there any easy way to make it add the extra number in the front? So that the text would stay on the same position, but the extra digit will be on the left side of the text?

Right now I am trying to do something like this with keyframes and a new position of the text, but I just imagine there should be a easier way of doing this.
