OBJs importing inside out/backwards

it seems when i import OBJs they are sort or backwards or inside out.....

this is useful on one hand because if i import a car it puts the steering wheel on the other side which i need, because im in ireland and our steering wheels are on the other side (compared to america & most of the world)

however it also causes some problems as in any numbers , text or logos will be backwards

any ideas?

No screen shot, no system specs, just "it doesn't work, how do I fix it..." I would guess it is a normal issue or a graphics card issue. I believe you can flip or revers the normals when you import. But including more information will probably get you a better answer.

Do you mean your models are scaled at -1 or that the normals, the direction of the surfaces, are inside out?

I'm guessing the latter and there's a setting for handling incorrectly displayed normals in Element 3D, you got more info on that in this section of the help-...

http://www.videocopilot.net/docs/elemen ... eshooting/

But it you got scaling problems, this is likely an issue created by your 3D application, it varies wildly how applications handle normals when exporting obj, fbx, etc...

@Plae

Really, you want hardware spec's? I think this problem was to "normal" for you. :D

my specs are written on the right hand side of the screen

Don't worry, this isn't a hardware problem, this is an issue with your mesh normals. There's just no situation where your graphics card is showing 3D models inside out due to compatibility issues - or if there is, it alluded to come to my attention doing this kinda crap for 25+ years... ;)
