Cinematic Music

Postby filmmakin on 08/13/2008, 7:19 pm

Everyone,

I am working on some shorts this summer, soon I will place some clips on this post. I have been looking everywhere for some good music. I have paid local "composers" only to find I paid too much. I have used Revostock as well as others, can anyone suggest a good place to get really professional cinematic music? I am looking for suspenseful, dark, climatic scores. I actually really liked the music from the above post, "The Dark Side".

I was more talking about a good solid music site, with or without rights managed. But...if there is any composers with stuff posted on a portfolio site for a fair/working price I would (and I'm sure others here) would love to see a link. :D

Check out Justin Durban's site (http://edgen.com/music). Nearly everything on there is free AND royalty free. For pay sites, I have always admired the work of Immediate Music (http://www.immediatemusic.com/index.cfm) but there stuff can get quite pricey.

If you're willing to go for the good stuff. Get Final Cut Studio. It comes with over 24 gb of sound content. It has literally everything you can think of.
