DJI Phantom, Element3D, Chromakey, Camera Tracking

HI Everyone,

I have been really curious how the camera tracking in AE would do with aerial footage (DJI Phantom 3) .. Tried an experiment using grass as my green screen, camera tracking the footage, and bringing in an Element 3D scene.

Hope you enjoy! And great news it all works!!!

The possibilities are endless ...

The Phantom cameras are great with the camera tracker. I use it all the time, mostly for a super cheep alternative to long dolly shots and crane shots. It is a lot cheaper to do a little ADR work on a shot filmed on a phantom than it is to rent a dolly and track or a crane. And now that there is an ADR workflow between Audition and Premiere it makes it all the easier.

I liked your experiment a lot and had not thought of using it the way you did, so you just gave me my weekend project and I wonder how mad the home owners association will be when I paint a huge green square on the road in front of my home...
