Hi, so I am looking to get a new machine. I work freelance from home and on site as a motion graphic designer and editor. I'd quite like to go windows (due to cost) but most of my clients operate on apple so I'd probably have to bite the bullet and pay my apple tax.

So I'm looking for recommendations really. Which route do I go?

The new Mac Mini
3.2ghz 6 core i7
512gb sdd
64gb ram
+ EGPU

Mac Pro
3.5ghz 6 core Xeon E5
32gb ram - i think this is user upgradeable?
dual 6gb vram
512gb SDD i think this is user upgradeable?

Macbook Pro
2.9ghz i9
32gb ram
4gb vRam

Why do you have to be on Mac if your clients are? Your clients would get a generated render or image sequence. Either way, project files with ae can go both ways.

I've used similar software before. I suspected it was causing slowness and stability problems in premiere and causing larger AE files to save really slowly

plus I've often found apple to be more stable on the whole. I'm not a fanboy by any stretch and have been looking at the dell xps 15
