I just got a few of the video copilot DVDs and I loved the INK FX, Arrows and flowers. I was trying to work out how I could make them my self at home but couldn’t work out how to do it.

If anyone out there knows hot to do it can they help me out?

Someone said its ink dropped in to water, if that’s all it is what kind of camera should I use and should I do it on a green screen?

Check out this site, it has several tutorials on animating flourishes and other elements using Illustrator and AE.

Hope this helps.

For the ink, that's not really hard. Computer Arts wrote an article on it a few month back.

All you need is a small fish tank, some lighting, and I would shoot it against black. Andrew shot his ink with an HD camera, 720p 60fps.

I wanted to know the exact same thing. How do I make something like the ink bleeds from the riotgear dvd at home but with Fire. I have been searching all over the internet. I tried filming it right up against something black but isnt there something else I have to do before I could use it in After effects?
