hey dave be a little easy on the guy...and read all of his post.

He is referring to a bullet time effect where the character does something cool and the camera pans around him. not where the camera tracks a bullet in slow motion.

and emerold, when you say "how does it work..." that's where I get confused. the link you posted is a tutorial on how to do it. :?

Yeah a little confused why you posted a link to the tutorial also, but i mean if your just wanting it interpreted a little, it basically comes down to stitching together images to get the pan effect (Andrews bullet DVD covers that well) and using a plug-in to make the pan look fluid.. but as I say VideoCopilot's bullet DVD shows you how to achieve it in after effects with the in built features really well.
Let us know if your still confused

oh yes, the bullet time:P

I have done a lot of research and with just 1 simple camera then its now way that you can ever achive the that awesome look like in matrix. They used used about 120 photocameras and made a twirl around Neo to achive the effect

(Like so)

My suggestions to you is to follow something similar to the link posted above
I also found another solution and that is to totaly modell yourself inside a 3D program and then do the whole bulletime effect totaly CG;)

I have just timed myself standing perfectly still for 44 seconds, although I didn't have anyone watching me so I may have cheated.

In the TV show HEROES they do a lot of standing still, with 3D effects added in.

Evey photographers knows that humans can't stand still for fore than 1/4 of a second, but since we are talking about taking a pictue on quite a distance then a portret picture then maybe it will work:P but it wont look nice. 1 camera = failed bullet time

Hero's isn't bullet time. People stand still while Hiro walks around them. Any inatimate objects are then added in with Maya.

First off, I think what the OP meant is how to do it in AE since the tutorial is for Premier. However, looking at the tutorial, not impressed, looks very cheesy and revolves way too fast. The best way to get that effect is the old fashioned way, 200 cameras.
