I'm not sure if this is the right board to ask this but here it is. Would there be a reason to deinterlace DV footage for VFX work if the final output will be on SD DVD? Please forgive me if this has been brought up already but I can't find an answer.

When you're working with VFX it's always best to work in deinterlaced footage, but you dont need to do that manually. AE will by default import the footage and separate fields so that it seems like you're working with a deinterlaced footage.
