A revolutionary new stabilization system.

This is probably the most amazing stabilization system I have ever seen, if Vincent Laforet is behind it you know it is going to be good.

This video is made by the same company, some amazingly beautiful shots which are not normally possible, even with helicopters and cranes.

sick rig :D That is truly quite revolutionary stuff. Though the prize is off from basic dwellers like me. Currently I have invested about 2K$ for my DSLR gear but I'm just hobbyist.

Here is quote from Laforet's Blog:

"Another big factor: It will be affordable – the initial mid-level (in terms of weight support) MōVI M10 will sell for approx $15K and is already under production. The second, smaller version, the M5 that will be on sale at some point in the near future (once the production capacity is in full swing) will be sold for a price point under $7,500. If you consider how much we spend on handheld rigs, sliders, jibs (let alone Glidecams/Steadicams etc.) – the price of this device quickly becomes a no-brainer… Another huge factor: it takes quite a bit of time to set up a JIB, let alone weights, crew and skill to operate. The learning curve on this unit is very very fast."

I think that's the video I enjoyed most:

For those who didn't understand the orientation of the camera can be controlled in 2 ways: either the rig tries to detect the "intentional" rotations, or it is controlled by another guy, not the one holding the rig.

Amazing! But for nearly $15.000 it better has to be. Also you need very good operators and a lot of practice to pull off shots like the ones shown in the videos. Also the description about how focusing is dealt with is quite unclear so I guess it's not included.
