very nice, I like the chunk missing in the planet before the explosion ,adds a lot of depth. Also the planet chunks looking good being so small after the explosion. I thought the end explosion was a bit much though, seemed a bit out of place in space, maybe scale down or something...?

Congratulations! That's really nice

I agree with the chunk of planet missing adding some depth, that was a nice touch.

I would consider making the glow effect on the planet lasting a little longer, and building up a bit more, to really build up that explosion, otherwise it feels a bit unexpected as if it's just randomly happened.

Also, with the cooler explosions you see, the fire that you have left at the end would look cool if it sucked back in on itself, in a really fast motion, as in it's being sucked back after being pushed out. Kind of an implosion.

Heh, just an idea!

But good work! Keep it up!

I love the idea about the explosion falling back in on itself, kinda like its forming a black hole. Im going to try it. thanks!

How does the shockwave look?

yeah, youtube has a habit of that, but it still looks really good.

The shockwave looks good, and in my personal opinion I don't think that it looks too much, as previously stated. I mean, it's space and there's a lot of it out there, so things that dramatic should happen!

but like i said, that's personal opinion.

Good luck with finishing it off. Stick at it =)

Get a link up when it's finished ;)

it looked great! two things I would add, first I'd get rid of the big explosion and put in lots of smaller ones, then I'd add some drifting debris afterwards :D

good job though!

I think the explosion should be bigger, and possibly a camera shake. Besides that, good.

boke,
I am making a tutorial on how to create any kind of detailed shockwave you want. Fire, plasma or what ever, easy. And you dont have spend $500 like at Artbeats. Im just needing to find a web site to post it at.
