Horror Short 'One shot' invisible edits and Element 3D

Postby vfxproductions on 11/9/2017, 12:28 pm

Hey everyone, I made this short for halloween edited in after effects. I wanted it to be first person and 'one shot' so there were 16 invisible edits to make it seem like one take. There was also quite a few vfx including the tv, street replacement outside, the doll being pulled and the blood

I also posted a vfx breakdown on my facebook and twitter of the end box shot which was created with Element 3D

Wow. You've set the bar pretty high with that one. Great stuff.

Cool stuff ! I think the blood spattered cam at the end is a bit too much, and a bit "too soon". I think a longer pause once the last clown reveals himself and a more violent axe blow would have been more efficent ;) But that's my opinion, and great job with your invisible cuts ! Only one was obvious to me (when we look out the window), and even if I think your quick pans hide the rest of the cuts, everything blends very well together !

Great job ;)

Excuse my English, I know it's bad, but I try very hard to get better ! ^^

Thanks so much :) Yeah I totally understand about the blood, it is kind of as ludicrous as the plot haha
The look out the window wasn't actually a cut exactly, it cuts on the whip pan after but the street itself was composited into the shot

Very good. Kept me watching through to the end, which most amateur movies fail to do. Nicely edited. :)
