Good news everybody! Our sweet workflow plug-in, FX Console, has been updated with a BUNCH of bug fixes and a few new enhancements! If you are not using FX Console, check it out! It’s free!

Fixes and Enhancements for V1.0.5:

  • MacOS Catalina Support
  • Bug fixes and wrong presets path on Mac

Fixes and Enhancements for V1.0.4:

  • Support for IME (Japanese, Chinese, Korean) to the OSX version
  • Improved gallery performance
  • Wrong image size of the panel buttons
  • Crash while selecting typed text

Fixes and Enhancements for V1.0.3:

  • Added option to save images as JPG from menu & Gallery
  • Preferences files are now saved in a user path instead of a common path, meaning different preferences for different users.
  • Fixed user presets path for AE 2017 and 2018.
  • Fixed issues of preset and effects not being applied if a floating panel had the focus.
  • Fixed screenshot image resolution not being correct in OSX.
  • Fixed crash when rending via command line.
  • Fixed color profile issue when taking a screenshot (mismatch colors).

We’ve identified a few interesting bugs that causes the menu to show up incorrectly for some users. So… we’re fixing it.  No refunds!! Update coming ASAP! We are also going to get it to work with any AE Language!

FX Console Utility Graphics

Our new workflow utility now has some graphics!

Introducing FX Console our new plug-in for After Effects that has been slowly developed over time as my personal utility to improve my workflow. It offers a variety of small features that make a big difference for people who spend a lot of time working in After Effects!

Right now we are working on some last minute OS X bugs and will be publishing as soon as it’s ready!

We look forward to releasing it soon for Free!

Ghost VFX

I recently did some VFX for my buddy Ryan Connoly! Just in time for Halloween!

There was only 6 visual effects shots but they had some very tricky challenges! I’ll go into some more details later on so I don’t reveal anything yet. But I will say that it was fun to use Element 3D in a unique way and sneak in some unreleased Action Essentials 4K Elements. Check it out!

With FX Console around the corner, it’s nice to start seeing more of these ongoing projects get finished!  It’s definitely a relief to lift a few projects off my shoulders so we can really speed up our release schedule and yes Intercept too! The traffic is beginning to clear up!

And editing of our new blog show is coming along great and we go back in the kitchen! Here was a fun moment from and old episode:
