I can't find the CC Glass effect... I typed glass in the 'effects and presets' just like he did in the tut... then i even manually looked through the effects drop-down menu... nada.

Hello there,
I loved the HEALING EFFECT on A.E. Really great.
I tried it out but I get two problems.
First, the wound keeps moving and rotating too much in relation to the footage, and I can´t figure out why. Maybe because of the tracking.
Secondly, when the movie is finished, there is a huge green "X" across the screen. Maybe you guys could help me out?!

Andrew k., i hv a quick question, for this project, if the person is looking down and then looks up (like the tutorials w/ the eye-ball) ... is it posible for the scar to be stuck to the face as the person looks up, even if at the begining of the clip you cannot see the cheek(where the scar is) but as he/she looks up it appears little by little, as if it was real... idk if u get wht im trying to xplain,but thx for your answer !!!!!! i really apreciate it if u give me a hand !!!!!!!!

This tutorial is realy innovative and it looks good. But I once fell on my face, pretty bad, and I made a picture of my face healing every day untill it was totaly healed. I posted, a very crappy and made with a free and unregistered program, an animation of that on the internet so that you can see the behaviour of real healing skin. Great tutorial man! What would have been a great add-on for this one was to have light rays (VERY, VERY SUBTLE - not a McDonald's commercial kind of thing but something simple) when the wound heals. If not the light rays then a really strong glow around the edges.

I just did the tutorial, but mine came out with a few glitches: The motion tracking seems to be slightly off. 1) So I am thinking that I re-track the footage (do I have to delete the old data or will it just overwrite it?) 2)While I can get the scars in the right position on the final comp. the footage seems to be in a different position in the subsequent smaller comps 3) I couldn't get the retiming quite right.

Any suggestions before i try again from scratch.

I think it might help for that though if you had some sort of flesh-looking texture between the ski layer and the robot image, since it looked like the skin was sort of floating over the robot face but not quite on top of it, I'm not sure, it didn't look quite natural (but who am I kidding, you said it yourself "it's not natural"), and I thought grotesque looking gnarly flesh would solve the problem ;). Sweet new tutorial though, that's awesome!

Brilliant, and great tip on modifying footage prior to motion tracking. I actually tried this in a class last Saturday and couldn't figure out why it didn't help. Now I know to precompose!
p.s. Shame you had to remove the submitter's website option, I expect due to those horrible spammer types, *sigh*.
