I also encounter the same question as nikodex. Each time I track the project video with two trackers like you, but they can't act prefectly and the trakers are shaky. My work is easy to leak fake castles to audience. And in tutorial 43- Demon Face Warp , I cant not track correctly points between Sam's lovely and shining eyes. I have tried more than 10 times. Pity. Maybe something is wrong? If you have time, Would you like to give me a guide by email(xz1000m@sina.com), please? Thank you very much! Anyway, We are all your fans! Take care! Lots of greetings from Holland by Luke 02/19/2008 nice one :) what version of aae is used in this tutorial? by Will 02/16/2008 Absolutely fantastic tute! One of the most interesting and tricky! much kudos! I'm having a strange thing happen to my tracking footage though - sometimes the footage that is attached to the null object moves without there being a change of frame...it makes the whole thing look kind of dodgy. it doesn't look like it happens to the null object, just to the parented footage (the crazy castles). Could you help me figure out what is going on, or point somewhere I can find out? Cheers from Australia! by werty1 02/15/2008 lol i would be amazed if i saaw ms paint things in the desert to forget castles i see those everyday lol no but really that was a good tutorial by Merlin 02/12/2008 Awesome tutorials! Thanks for spending so much time :) one tip for photoshop (if you don't know it already): you don't need to group all layers you want to merge, just select them by holding down shift or ctrl, and then right-click on one of the selected and chose "merge to one layer" or sth like this. (I have the german version so i don't know the exact command) oh, and it only works with CS2 or higher. greetings from germany, i'm looking forward to see more tutorials :) merlin by Carlos 02/11/2008 Hello I´m from Argentina and I have seen your tutorials in my job. One thing though I must ask about the rendering of the final movie. Mine seems to render out not as smooth as the original footage. Is this just a compression thing? Or, something else? It kind of stutters as the camera moves upwards. If anyone could get back to me on this, that would be great (apologies in advance if this is a stereotypical noobie query...). by Deltablack 02/02/2008 Don't make fun of Canada! :P hehe good tutorial. by Norwegian Boy 01/29/2008 Andrew , you rock. Take care. by Rara 10/06/2007 hello there Andrew, this tutorial is pretty awesome. Now I can do off the screen tracking. I was wondering one thing though. How do you do tracking with rotation? Every good example of what I want to know how to do is in the music video for Nickelback's saving me, where the numbers floats on people's head and the camera goes basically all around them. It would be super cool if you can just explain a bit. You won't even have to do tutorial, but you can if you want, right lol? Anyways, I hope to hear from you soon because I am doing this for one of the effect for my school project which is due very soon. Thanks once again for all your time and effort for all the tutorial. The end result is amazing. I was watching Shrek today, and while he's on the quest to go and rescue Fiona, he passes by a volcano- the shot is almost exactly like this one. Angled on the ground, and the camera pans up slowly as the person (in this case, Shrek) walks up the hill, and sees the scene (volcano, ancient towers, etc.) Amazing tutorial. ![]() by Ben 09/20/2007 Great tutorial!
