Hey! I just wanted to fire off a "Thanks" specific to this tutorial. By pure chance I had a job come up that required a similar technique to what is described in this tutorial.

Incredible tutorial using methods I didn't know existed in AE but will definitely use in the future. BTW, I just ordered Action Essentials 2 for some fx shots I'll be creating for my first full-length movie motion-graphics gig. Gotta say I wouldn't have gotten that job without all I've learned on this site. Keep up the great, informative work.

What kind of hardware are you using Andrew? Im using a MBP 2,2 C2D 2Gb ram and when im adding some effects, the preview rendering is goind so damn slow.

Quite a long tutorial for that little effect. Andrew is making a fast run to no100. I think anyone could have done this, without the tutorial.

But still learned some things. I didn't know it was possible to mask a line, and the randomized order of the masks. Its a quite easy trick, why couldn't I have thought about that!
