This is just a supplemental tutorial while I work on a new one for AE+Max. Notice the numbering. Remember you do not need to change 3D applications, you can easily follow along with most any mainstream 3D software. I don't even have a place for 3D tutorials... yet. |

keep the 3Ds Max tuts coming. I had Strata, and 3Ds Max is really the tool for Special Effects. LOve it! I think the more you know with your art, the better you will be.

hi Andrew,
great tutorial as usualy. But when I render at least, after creating light, I have not a great quality, lots of 'noise'. I have changed 'rays per shadows" but seems to not change.
if you (or anyone) have suggestion pls !

Dear Andrew,
When my 3D Max Starts up it doesnt have all those default tools in the main toolbar, any help would be nice.

LOL My laptop overheats and crashes when I render something in After Effects unless I put it right over a fan or put it sideways with the fan behind it and I don't think it will be able to render something from 3DS MAX!
