Hey, can someone help me? I did the steps exactly the same way AK. In Boujou the points are ok, but when i export data do Afx, the points are floating, they are not 100% connected to where it's suppose to be.
by the way, your tutorials are amazing, Andrew! I started learning AFX with videocopilot and i'm very grateful.

Hello Sir, Thank you soo much for your tutorials but this is the only one tutorial that gets bugged with me, and i can't get through this one.

When you click on Edit>Camera. My menu isn't same as yours. like, there are no settings for editing the FPS of camera. I got Boujou 5.0 and when i export the data for Adobe After Effects, the Null objects don't remain the same, they are like shruggling around on the screen.

Please help. Will be very thank full.

Best Regards

Hi speed,
I had the same problem with my aftereffects export... the null objects jumped around when imported to AE.
I managed to solve the problem by going in to taskview(it's the tab near toobox on the left side of the screen of boujou), chosing cameras, expanding camera and double clicking your sequence. This opens up the properties for that sequence.
The frame rate of that is just never the same for me as the frame rate of the imported sequence eventhough I set it as the framerate of the scene from after effects.
Synchronise this frame rate and i think you would be able to see results after you re-export the points.
Hope this helps

Hah, in this video, you made a "War of Worlds" reference. Didn't you, cause there was an alien ship that came out of the ground to destroy the world in that movie. The way I put that makes me seem like a geek but I'm not; just an average kid.

If anyone is having problems importing into 3ds Max...here is the fix I used. After you have exported your Boujou 5 tracking data to a 3ds Max file, open up 3ds Max 2010, go to MAXscript, open the script and then delete this:

b=openBitMap("D:/Projects/THE METEOR/RENDERS/Crater Raw Seq/Crater Raw_.ifl")
b.numframes = 171
setAsBackground b
setBkgImageAnimate true
setBkgImageAspect #output
setBkgFrameRange [0, 171, 1]
setBkgStartTime 0
setBkgSyncFrame 0

setRendApertureWidth 14.7574
renderHeight = 720
renderwidth = 1280
renderPixelAspect = 1.00004
frameRate = 24

animationrange = interval 0 171

SAVE the file and then open up MAXScript again and then RUN script. All done.
Works for me anyways.
