hi,someone can give me the link for real rain falling.
As alexa pointed out, rain drops refract light, so the 'image' inside the rain drop should be flipped, showing the sky on the bottom, and the ground on the top.
A simple way to do this using CC Mr. Mercury is put a '-' sign in front of your gravity parameter, and then flip the layer the effect is on on the vertical axis.
There is probably an easier way to do this though :P
I realy enjoy the tutorial. It is quiet simple and cool, but i think there's a little thing missing.I thing u should add a little of ur magic to it( deform some drops as they slop down ). U r definitly the LORD OF AFTER EFFECT.

-make a layer that looks like blood (use a blood texture, fractal noise, the colour 'red', etc
-apply the CC Mr. Mercury effect to the layer.
-Follow, Kramer's tutorial, but Up the velocity and birth rate so it 'splats' on in a split second!
