Hi there! I know I'm not a professional yet, and you have years of experience over me so this is just my personal input. I think it would look a little better if you used the time remapping to slow him down a little before he freezes. It's a bit abrupt and slowing him down might make it seem a little more like time slows down and then freezes.

After you've added the composition to render queue, click the render settings and change the "time span" from "work area only" to "length of comp"

Here is my guess of what is going on:
What actually happens when you click ram preview is that your computer renders out everything and then stores it in ram. This means you can only view as much as your computer can hold in the memory buffer. Some computers (especially ones that are 5+ years old) can run out of ram, and then get just show you as much as it's got. You could try setting it to skip every other frame, but that's really just delaying the problem. In a sense the best solution is to just render out a proxy, so that you take out the ram buffer entirely.

Am I doing something wrong? When time is frozen, there is one moment in time where the background footage moves for one frame. I did everything that you said in this tutorial. Could you tell me why this is happening, or if there is a solution?
Thank you,
Mitch
