Well this is shortest tutorial in vc, but it's good and has awesome effects
sorry figured it out just turn them into a new comp and add the same expression, but is still does have issues with the auto orientation, well either way great tutorial, i always look forward to watching yours more than any others, at least you have a sense of humor. Thanks again
hey great work this is my first post but will not be my last, So i have found a couple problems with this expression trick. First; the expression takes over the rotation of the sphere so the earths natural rotation is sacrificed, and second; as the camera angle changes the light source changes, is there an expression that i can write to keep the illumination on the earth the same in relative space while moving the camera, it just looks a little weird if you add some camera shake because the light would normally be coming from the sun but in this case it moves with the camera
waiting for ur next tutorial and a personal request , u r my only belief ,i want tutorials similar to this video , i know all ur tutorials output are around 10 secs of time , but help ur viewers... :)
Thank you Andrew. I made this short using a lot of your techniques, and especially from this tutorial. You will always remain an inspiration to me. Thanks again.
Andrew, You have just showed me the ability I've been dreaming of. Since I'm making a Halo 3 machinima I wanted to incorporate space shots of some of the planets. I though such possibilities to make them look real was only possible in CGI, but this has just showed me how. I've watched both tutorials and I love you for them, if I could afford your expansion packs i so would but im only sixteen with no job...
So again thank you so so so much I will link you the vid with it when its up on youtube
ANDREW IS THERE A WAY OF KEYFRAMMING THE ORBIT TOOL. BECAUSE I WANT TO CREATE AN ANIMATION LOOKING LIKE THE CAMERA IS FLYING A FEW DEGREES AROUND THE EARTH INSTEAD OF THE OBJECTS MOVING. NOW ITS A 3D SHAPE CAN THIS BE DONE? AND CAN THE SUN BEHIND BE DONE TOO?
love the tutorials Andrew and good luck with the Killer Bitch movie, i might be editing the trailer so might see you soon.
Nice effect but to keep it more realistic the back ground stars wouldn't move around like that since there light years away right ?
ah good stuff anyway Next Month I think im gonna buy The Bullet and Twitch or maybe something else
; )
Used it to create an animation of earth and moon:
