At 4:44 Andrew talks about "particle animations." And it appears as though fire particle animations are inside of a E3D group. I'm trying to set a sphere on fire similar to the shot at 4:44. Can anyone help me understand how this is done?

It says on IMDB that the titles were created by Kelvin Optical.

Well..when I look at the full cast and crew of Star Trek: Into Darkness, I see "Andrew Kramer-Main Title Designer: Kelvin Optical. That sounds, to me, like Kelvin Optical got the contract to create the titles, and they hired Andrew to do it.

Congratulations to participate in the project. Can you tell me the configuration of the computer on which you worked Star Treck? Thank you very much. I wanted to find out what is best for the production of the film.

Please don't listen to him blindly. Macs are not better. PC and Mac are both tools used to accomplish the same thing. Both can be argued in favor of but the PC has better pros usually. Don't go and spend your whole life savings on a extremely expensive Mac just because it's an industry norm that has no substance backing it.

Great job! I am a member of a no-profit society for divulgation of astronomy science . I'm working on a solar system animation... a tutorial about making stars with gas protuberances and surface turbolences like yours will be very apreciated!!!

Those 'flames' were generated via the particle replication feature in Element 3D. Hear his comment ~2:42. https://www.videocopilot.net/products/element/

Are you able at all to expand on any of the IMAX elements or processes, or was that part of the DMR? Also, what about the 3D side of things?
