Hey I'm having a problem. Every time I go through the steps and try to sequence the layers nothing happens. I even tried it by dragging the images on to the composition button and doing it that way but it still didn't work. The layers are still taking up the whole time frame and not overlapping can someone please help?

i do everything exactly like you (except the photoshop part, i edited the pictures in lightroom, i didnt want to crop) and the pictures keep importing with a weird color saturation. idk if this has to do with the prophoto rgb setting i exported them with, or if theres a setting that i'm looking at in after effects. also same thing happens in premiere pro cs5 and i'd much rather do the slide show in premiere if you can help me on that one too.

thank you

Hah, continuity error.

At 3:24, There's a folder called '720x480'
At 3:50, It's gone.

I realize this is because you would have
1. Recorded a few times
2. Practiced the tutorial beforehand
3. And deleted the folder because it's not supposed to be there.

hello, first to congratulate you for the tutorials help a lot, I wanted to ask if you can pass the projects carried out in AE to Premiere without having to preprocess the project because I do not know how to do that

The CC Composite effect is a good idea in avoiding to use a copy of the original image for that fade-in effect. This is a very helpful tutorial and has inspired me more to bring my skills in After Effects to next level as you have said. Thanks Andrew.

Well, that depends. Mostly of people wants to learn simple things on his favorite application, but don't have any idea about the basics of digital video. In the other side, if you want to go pro, is really helpfull to have a programatic learning curve (like an editing class).

I can totally relate to what you say. It's ridiculous how much they make us pay for this kind of training, when the best training we can find online for free. You just have to be curious and eager to learn. It's a thousand times better!!
Thank you Mr Kramer!!! ^_^

i had my after effects sitting in the dark corner for a very long time and after watching one of your video tutorial i got pumped up and decided to learn this amazing tool...but then again this is too much info. too technical. muvee reveal was way too easy for making a slideshow.

I love this tutorials, but i got depresed when watching Andrew, how fast he deal with Adobe after effects... Wish to know more and to do it fast as he do it...

I can't even listen as fast as Andrew Kramer talks and continuously clicks his cursor. Now I need some Excedrin. Wish he wasn't racing against a time clock.
