This is too complicated. I could hardly follow you up to 15 minutes into the tutorial, and then I gave up because the steps simply had different results in my video than in your tutorial. This is probably a tutorial for people who have worked with After Effects for years.

Hello Andrew!
That`s really nice effect. But the thing is, I need to apply it somehow to a moving object without affecting the background(it`s not a green screen). How do I do that?

Hello Andrew!
How can I make the disintegration from the center of the body? :)
Thanks!

I've done it before. Go back to your Original Texture Comp. Instead of a Linear Wipe, use an Iris Wipe.

I love this, been so much helpful thank you. I did want to know, instead of a linear wipe how could you use an Iris wipe instead. And if so how?

This is great. I plan to use this. Can you possibly make a teleporting tutorial? And also, do you think you will eventually release a Planet Pack for Element 3D. I saw what you guys did for the Star Trek intro and it would be awesome to create galaxies of our own.

Hi Andrew,
You're doing a kick ass job. Big Fan!
I'm working on a student project.
And I was trying for a similar effect.
I wanted to show withering skin; as in a man's hand has cracks which are glowing with probable lava-like fire and ash flying out of it. I've been trying for long. But it ends up looking fake!

At 25:55, you could leave that in as an easy vignette.
Just a thought.

Awesome tutorials! I just was wondering if you could apply the disintegration fx to a cc film burn. For example, a piece of paper burning from the cc burn film transition effect (mainly the random seed points that spawn), so that it would look like the paper is burning realistically instead of left to right.

Hey,

great Tut. the only "problem" I encounter is when I, instead of granate, use text or some PSD file. Then the "Hot Stuff" layer doesnt work. Any idea how to fix this?
Tnx.
