I tried to parent the whole particle with the null objekt but it was just wierd, it followed the X's and the Y's position but not the Z's position.
Im running in Windows 7 and with the Adobe After Effects CS5.5 is that a problem?
I'll be happy if anyone answered that for me,( Snirklund@hotmail.com) im a newbe at this animation stuff so explain it to me like i'm a three year old. btw, im from sweden.
I wonder how many other workarounds could be found to give stock AE similar tools as the Particular plugin via presets.
In fact, that sounds like a great idea for a product. You could produce a preset similar in function to Particular but charge considerably less. Even if it is slightly gimped in features, it would probably be something the budget minded would consider. The main reason I don't have Particular myself is I just can't afford it (I just bought AE and Sony Vegas).
And it won't let me pick whip the Particle to the Null position. Please help!
Hope it works...
When im putting the expression to the Z position on particle solid i get an expression error:
After Effects warning:Bad argument: index 2 out of range for steam of dimension 2.
Expresion disabled.
And the info on the location of the expresion.
Please help.
Make sure your Null object is a 3D layer
