Hey Andrew, is there a way to invert the glow so the color is on the inside and have it glowing white? This way you can make a Darksaber from the extended series of the books. Here is a link to a picture of it and some information:

Does this work with CS5 on MacOS? I used this plug in a few years back on Windows CS3 and it worked fine, but no luck on my system now. Any suggestions?

They do work with cs5. If you have a mac, go to applications-after effects- plugins and paste the preset. then restart after effects and it will be there

how do you make the lighsaber go completely like at the start of the video when the fight hasnt started?"

Well, I'm not 100% positive since I haven't tried it, but if you keyframe the saber gradually rising (if you watch you see him make it longer or shorter) it'll play and have the *fwaump* appearance your looking for.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I put a piece of bright tape at the top and bottom, i could use these to motion track the physical saber and then link the start and end positions in the preset to the tracking info right?

I'm pretty new to AfterEffects, and am so far loving everything I've seen on your website..
But I must say, the Light Saber effect was what got me started on AfterEffects and this preset is amazing. Thanks heaps!
