what would you do with that info? Why not use save frame-option?

i already checked adobe help.

They still dont post the location that the picture is stored.
I want a picture so that I can quickly post to a powerpoint presentation.

Just was hoping for a quick screen capture without having to open a seperate application.

With a PC, ctrl+printsceen takes a snapshot of the entire interface and the snipping tool allows certain areas to be taken. With a mac, it's something like cmd+shift+4.

However, to take the images from the render you just save frame as.

Hi surfengine,
To the best of my knowledge (LOL) it's only for a comparison, eg. animation. This explains it far better than I can. http://www.designertoday.com/Tutorials/After.Effects/1875/How.to.Take.Snapshots.of.Frames.Adobe.After.Effects.Tutorial.aspx
I use Snagit for keeping snapshots.

With the button next to Snapshot, you can bounce back and forth from your snapshot to the current frame; for comparison.

The snapshot is not a screen grab. It is a snapshot of all your settings that you can recall if needed, particularly when comparing between two frames. If you want to create a still, save frame as...
