problems whit filmMagic presets

Postby 0Sullivan on 08/2/2008, 6:58 pm

Hello to all:

I need help with filmmagic presets. Work with AE CS3 8.0.1 in mac, and only accepts After Shake, Bloom, and Easy Reflections.
Somebody has this same version in mac? I have proven to change them of folders... but it does not give result.

I hope that you can help me.
Thanks.

I have sent two emails already and they did not answer to me.
I am thinking that possibly it is to have the AE in Spanish, because I probe to use the After Shake and gives error of not having no property or metodo with the name to slider.
There is possibility doing a pack in Spanish? Or it takes too much work? Perhaps it is not by the language I don´t Know...

Thanks Andrew.

Film Magic Pro is not dependent on language. Our Product support team is off for the weekend after working very hard to get the site online. On Monday you should here back. Send an email to info and include your order number and I can even try to look it up.

Andrew, he's actually not referring to Film Magic Pro (great product by the way), but to the free plug-ins you have available in the tutorials section, like Gradient Gel and Bloom etc.
Hope this clears up a bit, and for the record, I think Andrew already mentioned these plug-ins weren't possible in other languages of AE since the expressions would have to be written different and since they basically consist of expressions.. well you don't have much use to it in other languages of AE..

Tip: Always install the English version of AE, for the sake of using tutorials on the internet, most of 'em are in English! :D

Or just start After FX with: Afterfx.exe -L EN
and it will start in english and everything works fine!

For Mac version try this one:

1. type command + I on After Effects application to see information on the file
2. you should see a part dedicated to languages
3. just uncheck the undesired languages
4. start AE
