Can someone please help retrace logo

Postby stoochy1 on 06/4/2012, 7:56 am

Hey everyone, Ive got need MAJOR help. Ive recently been asked to be in charge of graphics for the youth department in my area. Big responsibility. The only Logo ive been given us a low res pdf of the logo that has a white background and a small drop shadow (seems like)

We really like the logo and the gradient that is inside the logo and how it represents the scotland flag but with the white background etc. we really cant do much with it when it comes to graphics. We often just use a transfer mode to get rid of the BG but would like to be able to use bigger size of it on banners etc without it being pixelated.

Can someone out there trace it out for us. Ive tried but am no master in AI and i get limited results with the trace tool

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. i have asked the previous people in charge and they cant seem to find it on their servers and dont know who designed it for them : (

You don't have to be a master. Open AI, pick the pen tool, start clicking.

stoochy, I too used to say this and I finally broke down and told myself that I was going to learn the pen tool. It won't take long and I promise that after awhile it will be your favorite tool.

As a graphic designer, I really do love the pen tool. It's definitely worth it to learn it if you plan on doing anything media or design based.

I would say though, to get the best from it get yourself a tablet, like a Wacom.
