first of all i create a new document

grab the pen tool and begin to draw
of course the pen tool is filling the space between the anchor points with the foreground color

when i hit ctyrl + y it show me a blank image (white)
i tried drawing on a separated layer on top of the photo
no way
beneath the photo layer
no f.. way

Re: going ballistic with the pen tool
I don't understand what it is you are trying to do. Are you saying you don't want the fill to be happening while you're drawing?
If so, this should help you. You want a path, not a shape layer.

Re: going ballistic with the pen tool
thanks but
i search during 2 hours and finally i found that i just had to turn in the color panel the icon to no color and that did the trick
i'm not sure if it's the right command
but after 2 hours i'll let it like that
photoshop is way less complicated than illustrator

Re: going ballistic with the pen tool
Yep, that's what you do. Choose no color when you're drawing (eg, hit the '/' key)
