Hi everybody.
I need to join 2 moving elements (2 moving layers, 2 tracked spots, ...etc) with a line ( like this old game
http://www.juegomania.org/E-Motion+%28a ... The%29.jpg
)
I tried stroke effect..and 3d stroke from trapcode....but the use mask to build the stroke...and i can't keyframe the vertices of the mask (or parent it to an object).
Anyone can help me with this?
Thank you!
Marcos

Try the "beam" effect.

Re: stroke between 2 elements in 3d space
Great!. That's what I wanted.
I think that with a little expressions I could relate the thickness with the z axis movement of the null objects...
Other thing I was wondering about is "bend" that line between the nulls..make it elastic...like the threads of a puppet...
Could this be done?
Thank you again!.

Not without additional effects (and work). You require to use Bezier warp or something similar to mimic the deformation and for it to look natural, you'd have to somehow simulate forces for gravity and wind. You would get faster there by doing it manually, e.g. by applying mentioned effects on your pre-composed other layer or, if all else fails, animating a mask path.

I really dont mean to jack your thread, I will delete this post if you want me to.
But I was wondering if that expression would be the way to go if I want to recreate something like this:
