particles snapping to different vector shapes

Postby nicha11 on 07/14/2016, 6:22 am

Is there anyway i could recreate this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCMKYa1OLHk in after effects?

i.e. creating closed vector paths, adding them with some particle engine and making them snap to different shapes sequentially. i.e. box then circle, then triangle. in 2D, using simple flat circles as the particles. Nothing too fancy looking.

I'm asking in the Expressions forum as i suspect it's the only way i could do it but i'd much rather find a plugin solution to this. not had any luck on google.

Much thanks.

Trapcode Form or the ever-popular Plexus are the two plugins that come to mind. I haven't used Plexus, so I'm not sure if it could do it, but you could get pretty close with Form if not exact.
